Monthly Membership Investment
All payments will be due and collected at the start of each month. Payments can be made via Zelle.
Our tuition is a flat monthly rate that stays consistent throughout the year and covers a set number of lessons. It already takes New London County Schools holiday breaks into account, along with 2–3 extra days for illness or inclement weather.
Because this flexibility is built into your membership, there’s no need to reschedule or pay extra for an occasional missed lesson. You can use these built-in days for sickness, travel, or weather-related absences.
Lesson totals may vary slightly from one calendar year to the next.
As an example, students are billed for 37 lessons each year, even though there are up to 40 possible teaching weeks. If you attend every week without cancellations, you’ll receive up to 40 lessons during the year.
A materials and recital fee is charged per semester.
Fees range from $30-45, depending on the number of students per family. We will handle all the materials and book orders!

Policies
Student Responsibilities

Piano students must have a piano or keyboard with 88 keys.

Students are expected to practice at least 4 days a week in order to be prepared for lessons.

We learn to read music much like learning to read words. Progress happens best through consistent, steady exposure. A small amount of practice each day throughout the week is far more effective than trying to do a large amount all at once on a single day.

Parent/Guardian responsibilities

Parents/Guardians expected to wait on the studio premise (i.e. lesson room or in the designated waiting area). Teachers are not responsible for students after lessons.

Support the student’s practice and dedication throughout the week.
Attendance Policy

Students who are ill within 24 hours of their lesson should stay home. You may be asked to leave.

Make-up lessons are not guaranteed unless the missed lesson was canceled by the teacher.

Payments will be billed on the 1st of every month and must be paid prior to the first lesson.

If a withdrawal from lessons is needed, we require an advanced notice of two weeks-- these are paid lessons.
Pictures and videos are occasionally taken for social media. If you’d like to opt out of photos, you can do so in the registration form.
